BOUQUETS FOR DAYS

Daniella Brewster, Nov 2021 - December 2021

For centuries, mankind has been captivated by flowers–and for good reason. Flowers are alluring, powerful, sumptuous, and inviting all at once. Their varied messages can uplift, celebrate joyous times, or express great sorrow. Flowers are simultaneously life affirming and demonstrate the fleeting nature of life. In Bouquets for Days, Daniella Brewster explores this richness of flowers. With bold color choices and dynamic mark making, Brewster paints these bouquets with an immediacy that not only captures what they look like, but also the essence of our feelings towards them. The result is riveting work, which makes us deeply reconsider the flowers we bring into our homes, and their relationships to ourselves.
